We recently requested the services of David Jones to view our finances, critical illness cover, mortgage shortfall and new mortgage deal. From the first moment to finalising the details nothing was too much trouble. Dave identified that there were shortfalls in our mortgage; illness cover was not up to scratch, and sorting out our finances freed up a large sum every month, along with cashing in endowments that were well under the final values required. Dave also spotted that we had been miss sold endowments for which we were reimbursed. I took Dave's advice in September 2009 and took out an income protection plan as I am a self-employed consultant. February 2010 I suffered a TIA or mini-stroke which thankfully caused no long term effects, however I believe I would not have been able to get this level of cover at this price if I had waited until after this event. What can you say about a person who turns away the thick end of £1200 in commission because they would rather offer good advice rather than sell you a product you didn't need?
